Marquette Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Marquette, Michigan. The facility has two 18-hole courses, The Heritage and Greywalls.
First opened for play in 1926, the semi-private club's original course is The Heritage, designed by William Langford (later expanded by David Gill) and Marquette Golf Club's 2005 nationally-ranked course addition, Greywalls, designed by Mike DeVries.
The Heritage is a forgiving, yet challenging, course that's enjoyable to play. The front nine eases you into your round and prepares you for the undulating and more challenging back nine. Both the front and back nine incorporate aspects of William Langford's original design.
Greywalls has become the crown jewel of Marquette Golf Club. Designer Mike DeVries insured that you enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior throughout your round as the course weaves through majestic forests and granite pillars. The quiet solitude of Greywalls adds to your enjoyment of this truly magnificent course.
The Greywalls is a natural wonder and a testament to the rugged beauty of the Marquette area. The course takes players through a diverse but flowing variety of terrain: tumbling fairways, boldly contoured slopes, dramatic elevation changes, rolling and bunkered links landscape, and panoramic views of Lake Superior. It's a unique golf experience that has caught the attention of all the golfing world. GolfWeek named it the #2 course you can play in Michigan, and upon its opening, it was included in the Top Ten Best New Course listings of all the major golf publications.
Many of the holes play on high ground and bring in views of Lake Superior. It also means the winds can pick up often around here, and coupled with fescue and bluegrass, can play much like a links-style design, though this is a golf course that hardly looks "traditional".

I live in California. Go to the UP (Upper Peninsula) to visit family and have been taking my sticks since this course opened. Its beautiful terrain, wooden course with a smattering of huge granite outcroppings for a unique character.pretty course. Couple of tough domed greens.
